Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Debt Snowball Calculator Snolo (“the app”, “we”, “us”), published by Halim Öztürk, handles information when you use the app. It is written to match, item for item, the App Privacy label shown on the app's App Store product page.

The short version: Your debt records live on your device and in your own private iCloud — we have no server that stores them, and we never ask you to connect a bank account. But we should be precise about one thing rather than hide it: a few of the analytics events we send do include monetary amounts, such as the balance of a debt you just paid off. Section 3 explains exactly which ones and why. Nothing we collect is used to track you, and nothing goes to advertisers or data brokers.

1. Information you enter (stays on your device)

Debt Snowball Calculator Snolo lets you record and plan your debts. This information is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database, and includes:

This full record is not uploaded to any server we control. You do not create an account, and no login is required to use the app. Creditor names, notes, APRs, due dates and IOU contact names never leave your device. The limited exception — certain amounts inside analytics events — is described in section 3.

2. Private iCloud sync

If your device has iCloud enabled, Debt Snowball Calculator Snolo can sync your data across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit in your private iCloud account. This syncing happens directly between your devices and Apple's iCloud — Halim Öztürk cannot access, read, or view the contents of that data. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Analytics — including the financial amounts we send

To understand how features are used and to improve the app, we use Mixpanel as our analytics provider. Mixpanel receives product-usage and interaction events — for example that the app was opened, that an onboarding step or the simulator was used, that a screen was viewed, or that a debt was added — together with basic technical information such as app version, device model and operating system.

Some of those events carry a monetary amount. Specifically, the app sends the amount involved when:

This is why our App Store privacy label declares Financial Info → Other Financial Info. We use these figures to understand the scale of debt our users are working with and whether the app actually helps people pay it down. What we do not send is who the debt is with — creditor names, categories, notes, due dates, APRs and IOU contact names all stay on your device.

These events are not attached to your name or to any account, because the app has neither. They are keyed only to the random per-install identifier described in section 4. Mixpanel processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

4. Identifiers and approximate location

Identifiers. Analytics and subscription data are keyed to a random, per-install identifier — Mixpanel's distinct ID and RevenueCat's anonymous app-user ID. These are not your name, e-mail, Apple ID or advertising identifier, they are not shared with anyone else, and deleting and reinstalling the app produces a new one. The app never creates a profile under your name: no login exists and no user profile is created.

Approximate location. The app does not use Location Services or GPS and never asks for your location. However, Mixpanel sees the IP address that any internet request carries, and derives an approximate city, region and country from it on its own servers. That IP-derived approximation is why Coarse Location appears on our privacy label. It is city-level at best and never precise.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Debt Snowball Calculator Snolo offers an optional premium subscription. Purchases are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which manages subscription status and receipt validation on our behalf. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account — we never receive or store your card or payment details. RevenueCat processes subscription and transaction information under its privacy policy; Apple processes your purchase under Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. What we do NOT do

7. Data sharing

We share information only with the service providers described above (Apple, Mixpanel, RevenueCat) strictly so the app can function and improve, and only when required by law. When you export a CSV or PDF of your plan, that file is generated on your device and shared only where you choose to send it via the iOS share sheet.

8. Data retention & deletion

Because your debt records live on your device and in your private iCloud, you are in control of them at all times. You can delete any debt, payment, or IOU inside the app, and you can remove everything by deleting the app and clearing its iCloud data from your device settings. Analytics events retained by Mixpanel and subscription records held by RevenueCat are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, in line with those providers' retention practices. To ask us to delete the analytics records associated with your installation, contact us at the address below.

9. Security

Your data benefits from Apple's device-level protections and encrypted iCloud sync, and all network requests use encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but keeping your records on-device and off our servers meaningfully reduces risk.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no account and no directly identifying information, we may be unable to link a request to a specific installation without further detail from you. We do not sell personal information. Contact us and we will help where we can.

11. Children's privacy

Debt Snowball Calculator Snolo is a personal-finance tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. International users

Debt Snowball Calculator Snolo is available in multiple regions. Where analytics or purchase providers process data, that processing may occur in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards described in their respective privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app, on this page, and in the App Store privacy label.
